Rich Valdes Show recently asked Emily Taylor to come on the air in Nationwide, Texas to discuss the recent spike in gun sales and the Second Amendment. Emily Taylor, from the Walker Taylor Law Firm, which specializes in litigation around the Second Amendment and gun laws, explained that the increase in gun sales is due to a combination of factors, including the COVID-19 outbreak, 2020 riots, and violent crime wave. She also noted that the ATF is attempting to further limit Americans’ Second Amendment rights with rulemaking and that people are optimistic the Supreme Court will protect their rights. Emily also discussed how states like Maryland are now providing more access to carry permits and allowing individuals to exercise their Second Amendment rights. Lastly, she discussed how states are passing laws that are reactionary and unconstitutional, and how this is draining resources from Second Amendment advocacy groups.
